Learn to Forgive

A Positive attitude is akin to a blazing fire.
If fuel is not continuously added, the fire always gets extinguished.

Forgiveness is a great attribute. In the process of forgiveness, we stand to gain immensely because the same energy used to forgive heals us as well. Here are some suggestions to cultivate the habit of forgiveness.

#1 Offer a Prayer. When someone hurts you, immediately offer a prayer to God to ask for His help, so you may forget this hurt.

#2 Writer a Letter. If you are unable to forget, write a letter to the person against who you are holding a grudge. Write as many harsh words towards him as you can then tear the letter into pieces.

#3 Forgive yourself too. Don't carry within you a feeling of guilt. No one is perfect; we must repent and make amends.

#4 Do not hold resentment. By holding resentment, you will definitely harm yourself.

#5 Every night, think of all the people who hurt you. Say, "I forgive you" and you will have a sound sleep.

#6 Make forgiveness a habit. God forgives us, again and again. If you cannot forgive your fellow human beings, who are God's creatures, what right do you have to be forgiven by Him?

#7 Forgive, even before forgiveness is asked. You should do this when you feel that the person who hurt you is repenting within himself. You will be able to concentrate towards positive developments in your life, rather than remain thinking about the past.

#8 Love the person who has wronged you. By transforming vengeance into love, both parties are healed. Through love, enemies will become friends.
