Thinking BIG

The following is from my new book How 12 Immigrants Made Billions: 12 Keys to Success:

"Sometimes significant thoughts, innovative ideas, and sources of inspiration come when you least expect them. Your ability to constantly remain positive, sure-footed, and open-minded will allow you to be free and receptive in your ideas for approaching and finding success. Form good habits and have a routine. Successful people stay focused and are confident that they can be successful and are capable of achieving further success in their lives. Psychologically, saturate yourself with the idea, concept, triumph, and rewards associated with success. This level of concentration and focus takes a large amount of commitment and fortitude that is gained over time through your newly found positivity and open-mindedness.

To have extraordinary success, you must strive to be an extraordinary person. Attribute to ordinary things your passion, great ideas, and fresh perspective to arrive at wonderful, brilliant ideas. The ingenuity and innovation that comes with new ideas harnesses a huge potential for paving a path to financial success. Moments of creativity present opportunities for newness of perspective. As seen in advancements in the technology and manufacturing industries, creativity and innovation can be very lucrative."

Understanding

Understanding leads to harmony and harmony is the essence of music. Similar to music, understanding has seven notes as well:

1. Learn to be a good listener. If you wish to grow in the spirit of understanding, you must let the other person talk and prove his point to his satisfaction. Listen more and talk less. That is why you have been given one mouth and two ears. There is no door with which to close the ears--they are always open. Before a word is spoken, it must cross two fences--two rows of teeth and two lips. Therefore, you should think twice before you speak.

2. Do not criticize the other person. Look for good qualities in others and appreciate them. Appreciate your spouse, children, and friends—never scold them. When you scold them, you stiffly the life-force within them.

3. Find the fault in yourself. If you are not able to get along with others, try to find a fault in yourself even thought it’s easy to blame others.

4. Humility is the key to understanding. The word “understand” is comprised of ‘stand’ and ‘under.’ No one wants to stand under anyone else because everybody wants to stand over everybody—that is the problem.

5. Do not argue. No one wins an argument. When you think you have won an argument, sooner or later, you will find out that you have not convinced the other person of your point. You will have worn him out and, in the process; you might have lost a friend.

6. Practice what you preach. If you do not practice what you preach, no one will ever pay attention to what you say.

7. Look for opportunities to serve others. If you wish to grow in the spirit of understanding, you must grow in the spirit of service. Look for opportunities to be selfless, help, and provide support to others, especially those in need.

Quietude

Quietude is a great foundation for all-around success.

When you are so busy with work and responsibilities, engrossed in society, family and friends, you also need a place for yourself to withdraw and reflect in solitude and serenity.

By doing so, you shall be able to conserve more energy, as well as ponder over the right and wrong steps initiated earlier. All of this shall, undoubtedly, result in improved performances in the future.

There is peace and tranquility in the quintessence of life. Only the monetary success may lead to disasters. Therefore, to earn money is all right, and to enjoy the luxuries is nothing immoral, but to forget the soul's essence is a miserable and pitiable situation.

You must always adhere to a regimented self-imposed code of conduct in business affairs thereby ensuring that the interests of others are not trampled upon while accumulating wealth and generating abundance.

Have a good weekend.

The Truth About Money

There are many keys to success but the key to failure is having an attitude of trying to please everybody.

“Money leads to happiness” is a misconception of most people. What is money? A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and goes to bed at night and in between he does what he wants to do.

It all starts with thoughts. Thoughts convert into Words. Words convert into Actions. Actions convert to Values. Thought is the strong foundation on which all pillars and beams can be raised.

No person with clear thoughts can remain poor. Use this writings as a method to cleanse your thoughts in a spiritual way.

Some affluent people must ponder over the fact that whatever they are presently blessed with may not be spent in their entire lifetime. So why immerse themselves in the pursuit of amassing further wealth? This is a sickness of mind for most prosperous people, as they become addicted to this menace of accumulating money. They tend to forget that:

Money can buy the best medicines but not the health.
Money can buy the best foods but not the appetite.
Money can buy the best bed but cannot buy sound sleep.
Money can buy social prestige but not a clear conscience.
Money can buy flatterers but not true friends.
Money can buy a babysitter but not a mother’s love…
And so on.

The Right Kind of Need

Need for prayer in life is unlimited; all life depends upon prayer because God fulfills all our needs—physical, emotional, psychological, and financial. Our material ambitions and spiritual aspirations are accomplished only as a result of prayers.

To receive whatever we need, we must be receptive and keep our mind and soul in a state of readiness. We must empty ourselves of all thoughts and feelings, before inviting and praying for God’s light and blessings to fill the vacuum within us.

If the vacuum in our minds and souls, body, and hearts is not created, how would He send forth His gifts? The vacuum of sadness is replaced with joy, loss gives way to gain, fear vanishes and courage arrives, misery departs and we welcome bliss.

It is entirely upon our discretion how much we are desirous of receiving, and accordingly we must empty the vessel or container to avail of a larger quota of bounties from His treasure chest. Pray and depend upon God for results; and put in effort, as if result depends upon your effort. Through this collaborative effort, wonders shall be received.

Journey

THE ATTITUDES OF YOUR ACQUAINTANCES ARE SYNONYMOUS WITH BUTTONS OF AN ELEVATOR WHICH WILL EITHER TAKE YOU UP OR DOWN.

Journey of life can be either a pleasant and satisfying one or a tumultuous and traumatic one, depending on your inclinations and attributes.

The sincerity of effort that you put into deciding your focus of attention, or the thrust area, eventually becomes the determining factor in where you would arrive at your destination or not and at what pace you would arrive there. It also decides who you would like to be your co-travelers and how much would be the mutual trust between you and them.

The journey can become pleasant if a person makes the right choices and decisions. Usually our decisions are influenced by the opinions and suggestions of others who may be our well-wishers but who are actually ignorant. A keen and clear sense of analytical judgment is called for. It is extremely critical and crucial for the final advances and strides towards the desired destination of success.

Classifying and categorizing people and events must be avoided at all costs. This tendency to become judgmental is a big negative.

A thought that germinates as a seed needs the fuel of strong decision to make it grow into a tree that bears tasty fruits and green leaves to feed the hungry and provide shade to the weary traveler.

Integrity

ATTITUDE AT THE COMMENCEMENT OF A TASK DETERMINES THE OUTCOME.

Integrity begets trust.

Integrity in any endeavor is the hallmark of any venture and this is one factor that leads to success. Introspection is a tool by which one really tries to search within for the real purpose and meaning of our existence. It shows us the hidden treasures of capability and endeavor that have been lying dormant within us for long years. The latent talents then blossom.

If one has the capacity and desire to help a needy one in times of distress, then that is a sign of true integrity.

Integrity involves something much more than honesty and discipline. It means keeping promises, fulfilling expectations, and keeping commitments.

Integrity includes charity, sacrifice, inspiration, and impact on the life of others.

Try not to be become a man of success but rather aspire to become a man of integrity and success will follow.

Happiness

EXPECT SUCCESS. EXPLORE POSITIVE ATTRIBUTES IN YOURSELF AND IN OTHERS. EXPAND YOUR HORIZONS.

Happiness leads to success in every realm of life. When this fact is borne in mind, all elements leading to this end become positive instruments helping us attain happiness. Here are some secrets to always be happy.
1. You should have a strong will to be happy. Every morning you wake up, you must say to yourself that I shall be happy come what may. If you wait till tomorrow, tomorrow shall never come. The food on the table may not be to your liking, people may praise your or criticize you, weather may be cold or hot, and your should never look for a chance to complain and never give up your birth right to be happy. Everyday seek to do what you promised yourself each morning—happiness.
2. Cut down your desires. It is the main cause of suffering. Just go back to your own past. Was it worth being unhappy because your particular desire was unfulfilled? If not, is it worth being unhappy because a certain desire is not being fulfilled at present? This desire may not have any significance to you in the future. Some of your desires are bound to be unfulfilled and this becomes the cause of your sadness.
3. Cleanse your mind. If your mind is full of thoughts of passion and pride, resentment, ill-will, revenge, envy and jealousy, or hatred and greed, how can you expect yourself to be happy? A person with such thoughts drinks a poison himself to kill others.
4. Keep on always smiling. Learn to laugh. Laugh and the world laughs with you. Laugh even when the world laughs at you. Laugh at yourself. Even when somebody passes you a nasty comment or glare, reply with a smile.
5. Keep a positive attitude. Wake up in the morning with an exciting idea and by humming a positive tune. Your heart will become a singing heart. A singing heart is the key to true happiness in life.
6. Help others. You are bound to be happy by helping others become happy. Happiness is very much like a perfume; you cannot spray it on others without getting a part of it yourself.

Love and Godly Love

Love manifests itself in various colors. During childhood, one is immersed in playing with toys; youthful days are engrossed in the sensual and sexual pursuits; middle age is spent accumulating wealth and power, chasing prestige and status, attachment to family and luxurious lifestyles; the last leg of the journey is consumed by a love for life—a constant nagging fear of death rules the roost.

God is love, and those who dwell in love, God resides unto their hearts for the highest form of love is Godly love. Love has the potential of changing one’s overall perspective, for the betterment of self and others. All religious and spiritual deeds, sans Love, shall be rendered tasteless, directionless, and purposeless. In fact, they shall be said to be exercises-in-futility. Attaining the highest state of consciousness, one experiences, and lives in, the blessed realm where all people appear to be known, dear, lovable, and close. This is a positive effect of prayer. Always replenish the cup of your heart with the nectar of love, to keep the soul in good health and the mind in good spirit; never let the heart become empty and dry.
